Do you know that our minds are powerful, and our thoughts shape who we are and will become? Changing the way you think changes your perspective which changes how you act in the world.

We are told in Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

It would seem, then, that it is God's very purpose that we think like Him, to prove His good and acceptable and perfect will!

Paul’s words in Romans 12:2 aren’t new. “Change your mind” is the central theme of Jesus’ first sermon (see Matthew 4:17).  Jesus challenged people to change their thinking because regardless how many times you read through the Bible, if your mind doesn’t change, you will simply impose your labels on the words you read.

How then, do we think like God?

It is impossible to literally think like God as He is all-knowing and all-powerful, but we can focus our thoughts on the things that reflect and honour His character. To do this, we must become intentional about mirroring His image in all that we think and do. I'm convinced that the Mind of Christ is in the Spirit… it is not in our natural minds. Jesus said His words are spirit and truth—His mind, the will of God—all are contained in the Word and in the Spirit.

Beloved, what you choose to see determines your reality. You have the power to change your reality by shifting your focus. “As someone thinks within himself, so he is.” (see Proverbs 23:7) God wants to impart His character and power through us. You need to remind yourself every day what God thinks about you…not what the world thinks or what you think about yourself. As I said in my book “The Path To Victory”, “God has much more in store for you. God wants to take you to new levels in every area of your life. He wants to give you more wisdom so you can make better decisions. He wants to give you a stronger anointing so you can have greater influence. He wants to bless you financially so you can be a blessing to others.” Don’t get stuck in the same old rut – there is so much more to life! God has new frontiers for you to explore and higher mountains to climb. I can tell you with great confidence that your best days are right out in front of you.

Begin today to think the way God thinks. The Bible says “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” (see Proverbs 4:18) Think increase! Think big! Think expansion! Start expecting the unexpected and look at life through your eyes of faith. When you do so, God will show up and begin to work things out in your favour.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for this day. I thank You that you have new opportunities for me to experience increase and victory in every area of my life. Teach me how to think like You and see myself the way You see me, so I can experience all You have for me today in Jesus name.
